About the job
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join a busy manufacturing team producing high-quality precast concrete panels used in the construction of secure prison walls. The role involves preparing moulds, pouring and finishing concrete, installing reinforcement, removing finished units, carrying out quality checks, and using hand and power tools safely. You must be physically fit, as the role involves lifting up to 25kg. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–4:00pm, and Friday, 7:00am–12:00pm.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing moulds for concrete casting
- Pouring, levelling and finishing concrete
- Installing reinforcement and other components into moulds
- Stripping moulds and safely removing finished concrete units
- Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet specification
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
