About the job
Job&Talent is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Marshall to join our team in the Unipart/JCB manufacturing environment in Uttoxeter. The role involves working closely with the Gatehouse admin team to direct vehicles to the correct destinations, coordinate vehicle movements and maintain safe and efficient traffic flow throughout the site.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, strong safety awareness and the ability to work in a busy yard environment. Previous yard marshalling or traffic management experience is desirable.
What you’ll be doing
- Direct HGVs and other vehicles to the correct destinations
- Work closely with the Gatehouse team to coordinate vehicle movements
- Maintain safe traffic flow and prevent congestion
- Ensure drivers follow site traffic management procedures.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian movements to minimise safety risks
- Report hazards, incidents and vehicle-related issues
