Join our team as the "last set of expert eyes" before take-off. In this critical role as a Security Checker, you are the final guardian of flight safety. You will be responsible for the integrity of all In-Flight Supplies (IFS), ensuring that every meal cart and supply container entering the aircraft is thoroughly inspected and free of prohibited articles goes into the Critical Part (CP) and onto the aircraft. This is a regulated position- mandatory subject to a 5-year background check and a clear DBS(on us). Full AVSEC (Aviation Security) training will be provided before your start date.
What you’ll be doing
- Rigorous physical searches of all meal carts, trolleys and containers
- Visual inspections of all items before they reach the aircraft.
- Verify - all security seals on catering equipment are intact
- Recording seal numbers and maintaining the DfT-mandated logs
- In-Flight Supplies (IFS) are kept sterile from screened until loaded
- Supervise the loading process, ensure the vehicle is secure
