About the job
Join our team as a Ramp Operative at East Midlands Airport, working on freight aircraft. Your duties will include loading and unloading cargo, operating ground support equipment, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the ramp. You must be physically fit, reliable, and able to work night shifts and in all weather conditions. Previous airport or warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
What you’ll be doing
- Load and unload cargo from freight aircraft safely and efficiently
- Operate ground support equipment (tugs, belt loaders, etc.)
- Conduct aircraft holds checks and secure cargo as per procedures
- Follow all safety and security protocols at all times
- Marshal aircraft and support aircraft positioning on stand
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
