Our client based in Milton Keynes is looking for Food Production Operatives to join their growing team in their Bakery. Their Milton Keynes Bakery is home to one state-of-the-art, high-volume, automated site producing branded products for all the major retailers.

Shifts:
8-hour shifts.
- Monday to Friday
- Day Shift: 10 am-6 pm - £10.56 p/h
- Occasional overtime shifts are required.
Job Description:
There are various departments in this factory where you will be required to pack customers’ orders, help unload and load customers’ orders and mix ingredients. Therefore, you will be inducted and trained to understand your role well.
What you will need:
- To demonstrate good general knowledge of food safety.
- To understand and can explain the importance of the hand washing technique.
- To understand which allergens are controlled on-site and can explain what procedures are in place in your workstation to prevent contamination.
- To explain the importance of wearing PPE correctly while on site.
- To understand and follow site procedures when handling allergens.
To demonstrate your understanding of colour coding, explain what colour equipment is used in their area and for what purpose.
Experience:
-To have experience in food manufacturing, but a limited experience is accepted as full training will be provided.
-You will receive regular support and supervision to help you maintain a good level of competence.
-To work well in a team and on your own.
- Training is ongoing for this role.
Required Skills:
-Good standard of verbal and written English.
-Good communication and listening skills.
-Good team working and time-keeping skills.
-Ability to follow instructions.
-To be flexible to vary tasks undertaken and complete repetitive tasks diligently and quickly.
-To have good attendance and is punctual, arriving in the work area on time to prevent delays in customers’ orders.
-To have flexibility with covering shifts for holidays, sickness or if asked.
