About the job
As a Class 2 HGV, you will transport airline catering between the catering unit and aircraft, ensuring safe and on-time deliveries. Your duties include loading and unloading catering trolleys and carrying out vehicle checks while following safety procedures. As part of the application process, a mandatory 5-year background check and Basic DBS check will be completed (not required before applying), and AVSEC training will be provided before your start date. The role is 40 hours per week on a fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become permanent.
What you’ll be doing
- Able to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Work on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
- Load and unload catering trolleys and equipment
- Perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties
- Carry out vehicle checks and follow safety procedures
